Taro is a quintessential staple of Hawaii. On the Islands, it is often pounded and served as “poi“. At Chicago Luaus, we special order our taro from California. Our staff slices the taro root fresh the day before your luau event for a product similar to a potato chip. We then add the final touch of Hawaii with a homemade pineapple salsa.
Our egg rolls are “no ka oi” (the best). As with all of our menu, this dish is made from scratch starting with marinated ground pork, a variety of vegetables, our secret seasonings, crispy spring roll wrap, and served with a delicious Filipino dipping sauce. Egg rolls can be made with your choice of either pork or vegetarian.
Our potstickers are made with a blend of marinated ground pork & veggies and are perfect for snacking. Whether you want a light finger food or an appetizer served on the side of the main entrees, this Hawaiian favorite brings that classic Luau food to your gathering!
Fresh tropical fruit displays are prepared fresh and arranged on platters. This provides not only a functional addition to any menu, but also creates a beautiful element of the tropics to your buffet. We use a wide variety of fruit and take time to spread it out in a beautiful way for you and your guests! One display tray is sufficient for approximately 25-30 guests.
What can be more tropical than pineapple? Fresh pineapple is sliced at our facility, cored, and grilled over lava rock.
Two shrimp prawns and three pineapple are skewered together on bamboo, only after hitting the lava rock grill! These are a great option for a finger food type of event or a beautiful addition to that luau buffet table for a tasty little bite of the south Pacific!
Brah, don’t get me started on da wings. Our best sales pitch for this dish is done at a complimentary taste test. When you try them, you’ll want your guests to have them at your luau. The procedure is simple, fried wings tossed in our top-secret, garlic shoyu sauce & there you have it. It’s all in the sauce & we give you plenty of it. Island style wings.
